October was domestic violence awareness month, and we joined forces with The Dwelling Place to help raise money and awareness for the cause.
We believe that businesses, not just individuals, need to stand for something. And since Rise & Shine focuses on women and the brands they love, it was only natural for us to give back and support an organization that does so much to rebuild women’s confidence and set them up for a successful future.
As the Entertainment Sponsor, we were thrilled to have recording artist Sara Groves perform! Looking at issues both personal and global, Sara’s music and advocacy have allowed her to sing all over the world, including prestigious venues such as The White House.
In addition to being the Entertainment Sponsor, we were honored to also produce the gala, and it was an experience to remember. The gala had record attendance this year with over 500 people coming together to make a difference for these women and children.
The message was clear – the old life is gone, and a new life has begun!
We know that the evening wasn’t just about impacting the lives of the survivors; it was also about transforming the hearts and lives of the gracious people in attendance that evening. Hearing testimonies and success stories from graduates of the organization left us all needing a Kleenex or two.
We’re proud to stand for something, and to stand together with good people and good organizations like The Dwelling Place.
